Campaign: To encourage students to swap takeaways for home cooked food

When I was a student a few years ago, I found a lot of my peers would live off takeaways and unhealthy tinned foods as they felt they were convenient and cheap options.

But, when I made my own meals, my housemates and friends would come down and join me and it would actually be a much more sociable experience.

I want to show young people that cooking doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive.  Anyone can do it and it can be cost effective.

With Fixers, I’ve created a recipe pack. Each dish will feed an entire student house and can be made using only basic equipment and ingredients that cost less than a fiver.

I hope to send the packs to universities so they can be given out to students who are living away from home and on a budget.
