Campaign: Anti-cyberbullying

Cyberbullying can come in all shapes and forms, and is definitely common among many young people today.

You hear of stories all the time about young people being bullied on social media or being victimized through text messages.

We want to inform people about the dangers online and one way we are doing this is by creating an anti-cyber bullying quilt which young people will customise with comments and pictures.

We are part of Armargh Youth Council and want to transport our Fixers resource to other youth councils for display, who, in turn will pass it on again.

Cyberbullying is a serious issue, so the more people we can get on board, the better.

Armagh Youth Council

The Fixers involved in this project are part of the youth council, who has supported our Fixers project by hosting an anti-cyber bullying event.

June 2013

We held a workshop in Derrynoose on 28th June raising awareness of cyber-bullying. The event was attended by more than 50 young people from youth councils up and down the country.

During the event, we created an 'anti-bullying' quilt, which was created by young people and customised with their comments and pictures. We hope the quilt will be passed on to be displayed at other youth councils, so more people find out about the dangers of cyber-bullying.
