There are negative stereotypes in society and we think they affect young people as well.

It is for this reason we're helping to design a giant piece of art, which will show Wigton as one.

We decided to make a sculpture of a sun and have different people design their own ‘ray’ for it.

By displaying it at different places like festivals and events, we hope to improve people's opinions of young people so that the whole community can get along and communicate better with each other.

When we have done community events in the past, it has worked for the day, bringing the community together, but then it goes back to how it was before.

Maybe this will be a more permanent reminder of how we can all get along.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Feedback about our project has been positive and encouraging, below are what young people have said about our campaign:

'It's good when you see anyone doing something for their community, but especially when it is young people because they do often get a bad reputation.'

'It's a good idea getting people involved to help decorate it, it gets everybody talking.'

'I enjoyed doing the decorating and talking to the kids, it made me feel young again!'

'It looks really good, and I like it even more when you know the story behind it.'
