Campaign: I want to encourage people to see the benefits of 'legal graffiti'

I want youngsters to see the benefits of taking part in ‘legal graffiti’ and encourage them to stay within the law as well as staying safe.

There's a great danger to young people who want their street art to be seen by an audience, and go to great lengths to get it seen, including breaking the law and putting themselves at great risk.

I want to take the graffiti away from areas where it upsets local residents, and find new legal places for artists to express themselves.

The art form is commonly perceived in a negative light, isolated from society and often inaccessible.

The aim is to present ‘Graffiti’ art as interactive and positive and something that can be explored and admired in communities safely and legally.

The inaccessibility of street art can be highlighted in the fact that many pieces of artwork are created in dangerous locations such as near railway lines.

My Fix is aimed at changing  perceptions of street art from being a negative form, being associated with isolation and vandalism in society to a positive, engaging activity.

In addition, I also want my Fix to discourage young artists from working in dangerous and illegal areas.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
