Name: Jay Coomber
Age: 19
Year of the Fix: 2014
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Campaign: To show the benefits of freerunning

Taking up freerunnning helped me turn my life around.

I’d dropped out of school and had no qualifications, but then I discovered the activity and things changed.

I believe it can teach discipline and help others to focus on something positive.

Along with Fixers, Kaylum Sapseid and the rest of our team, I want to challenge the view that freerunning is an anti-social activity.

Others our age should be encouraged to give it a go – as long as they’re willing to train and practice it safely.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Alexander Hickes James Yorke
Kaylum Batchelor Kaylum Sapseid
Liam Tomes Luke Stones
Nile Wade Ollie Addis
Stanley Ewena Stephanie Biggs

World Freerunning Parkour Federation
Mike Young from the Federation has supported our Fix. He discusses the history of the activity in our broadcast piece.

Mayor of Salisbury

Cllr Jo Broom, the Mayor of Salisbury, supports our project. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in our broadcast film.
